Pros and Cons

Pros:

Up to 80% of profits go directly to the trader, making this a lucrative option for those who can maintain consistent success.
  • Flexible Rules:
With no restrictions on trading styles or strategies, traders have more freedom to execute their plans.
  • Scaling Opportunities:
As you succeed, the firm offers opportunities to trade with larger amounts of capital, enhancing your potential returns.

Cons:

  • Evaluation Costs:
The evaluation process requires an upfront fee, which could be a barrier for some traders.
  • Strict Risk Management Rules:
While transparency is a plus, some traders may find the risk management rules challenging, especially during volatile market conditions.

Evaluation Process Breakdown

Before you get funded, Funded Trading Plus requires traders to complete an evaluation process. This process ensures that traders are capable of managing risk effectively while maintaining consistent profitability.

Evaluation Highlights

Phase One: The first stage involves trading under set conditions to reach a profit target (usually around 10%) without violating specific risk management rules.

Phase Two: After successfully completing the first phase, traders move on to the second evaluation stage, which typically involves more relaxed targets, focusing on consistency over time.

Pro Tip: The evaluation process emphasizes risk management, so ensure that you have a solid risk strategy in place before applying. Avoid over-leveraging, and always use stop-loss orders to protect your capital.

Prohibited Trading Practices

  • Margin Utilization
There are specific margin utilization limits based on account size. Staying within these limits helps avoid triggering a full account review.
  • Account Review Process
High-risk factors that may lead to review include large margin utilization, trade duration, market volatility, and opening similar trades simultaneously. Previous warnings for risk management issues may also be considered during reviews.
  • News Trading
Although news trading is allowed, trades using excessive margin utilization during high-impact events, especially for short durations, may be deemed unacceptable.
  • Risk Management
Proper risk management is expected, especially during high-volatility events. Engaging in high-risk practices such as excessive margin use, scalping, or taking simultaneous trades in multiple markets can lead to a review if not handled responsibly.

Payout Information

Withdrawals from the Premium Trader Program can be made 7 days after your ‘FT+ Trader’ account is activated, once your closed balance is at least $50 above the starting amount. Be aware that withdrawals reduce your available drawdown. You can withdraw via bank transfer or cryptocurrency, with platforms like Coinbase and Binance recommended for ease of use.

Payment Methods

Funded Trading Plus accepts a variety of payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, and cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin.

Scaling

Traders are eligible to increase their account size once they achieve a specified profit level. For the Experienced Trader and Master Trader Programs, this required profit level is 10%, while for the Advanced Trader Program, it is 20%.

Traders must have no open positions or running trades to qualify. The maximum funding available is $2,500,000. FTP advise that it may take up to 72 hours for the scaling process to be completed.

Simon Massey CEO of Funded Trading Plus

About the CEO

An adrenaline junkie at heart, Simon Massey was drawn to the idea of a fulfilling career in emergency services from a young age, viewing it as a lifelong goal. However, after a decade, he realized that this path was not aligned with his vision for the future. He decided to take a sabbatical to reflect on what he truly wanted from life.

During this time, Simon connected with a successful retail trader named Pasha, a former Wall Street trader with impressive skills. Pasha inspired Simon to explore the financial sector. As Simon learned from him, he quickly recognized the vast opportunities available in trading, which motivated him to begin trading independently. Just a couple of years later, he was on the verge of leaving his day job to pursue trading full-time.

In addition to his own trading endeavors, Simon has devoted significant time to mentoring others. This passion led to the creation of Trade Room Plus, where he and his colleague Michael partnered to share insights from Simon’s 40 years of experience as a professional trader. The concept of Funded Trading Plus originated from a key advantage that Pasha had over typical retail traders: access to substantial capital. Their proprietary trading firm enables individual traders to operate with larger funds, offering them opportunities that far exceed what most retail traders can access.

Key Takeaway

Funded Trading Plus is an excellent option for traders looking for flexibility, transparency, and the potential for substantial profits. The firm’s focus on risk management and consistent performance makes it suitable for traders who are disciplined and patient. However, if you’re new to trading or struggle with risk management, you may want to refine your strategy before diving in.

If you’re confident in your abilities and ready to take your trading to the next level, Funded Trading Plus offers the resources and opportunities to help you grow.
